Building your West Africa for Healthy Living, Leadership and Education (B.A.L.L.E Foundation) was founded in 2017 by Dr. Lynette Ametewee who has over 30 years’ working across health, social care, gender/women’s economic empowerment, mental health/disability, millennium/sustainable development goals, media/communications, creative arts and fundraising in international, national and local organizations in Africa, United Kingdom, Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2021, we received NGO status from the Government of Ghana. From our Accra based secretariat, we work nationally across Ghana and through partnerships we work across African countries and globally to achieve our mission and vision.

Our mission is to significantly contribute to sustainable and inclusive improvements in the quality of life of women, children, adolescents, and young people primarily in Ghana and African countries through research and community engagement to develop, implement and evaluate evidence-based interventions and global partnerships in the areas of health, education, and leadership, within the blueprint of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the Africa and the planet we Want.
Vision
Our vision is to become the organization of choice for partnership on research, community engagement, development, implementation and evaluation of innovative and sustainable and inclusive solutions to improve the quality of life of women, children, adolescents, and young people primarily in Ghana and African countries in relation to health, education, and leadership, changes within the blueprint of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the Africa and the planet we Want.
